About Kathleen
Kathleen is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University in 2008. She brings extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families across a wide range of clinical, school-based, outpatient, and crisis-focused settings. Her work is grounded in a compassionate, strengths-based approach that prioritizes emotional safety, collaboration, and meaningful growth.
Kathleen supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and other behavioral health concerns. She has significant experience working with children and adolescents who present with behavioral challenges, school refusal or avoidance, as well as children with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) within a trauma-informed framework, thoughtfully tailoring treatment to each client’s unique strengths, needs, and learning style. Kathleen’s therapeutic approach focuses on helping clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and effective coping skills. She works collaboratively with clients and families to strengthen communication, promote accountability, and develop healthier patterns of interaction. Above all, she strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel safe to express themselves openly and feel empowered to heal and grow. Kathleen’s goal is to meet each client where they are and support lasting resilience, confidence, and positive change.
